Sarah Gerats Homage

, originally uploaded by Madilyn Peiper.

I could not resist making my own images based loosely around Sarah Gerats' "Her" series.

Sarah Gerats

This image is from Sarah Gerats and her series "Her". There are many other similiar photographs included in the series, but I prefer this image because it exists more as a photograph and less as a performance piece. The other images include Sarah's fingertips and other body parts sticking out from behind the mirror, which I personally, found to be distracting.

White

, originally uploaded by Madilyn Peiper.

This image is roughly over a year and a half old and I've recently rediscovered it.

Since I'm no longer attending Mica and making art is solely up to my discretion I have been flirting with many different possibilities for photography series. At the moment I'm considering color studies that would include different sets of photographs in one dramatic color scheme and documenting color boundaries and differences. For example, this image would obviously be included in the white set.
